The standardised support, for electromagnetic cross-point switches in telephone exchanges, allows a switching matrix to be constructed and adjusted. The support consists of a solid dielectric rectangle with holders for the components of the electromagnetic crosspoints. There are connectors mating with similar dielectric supports to form a composite matrix. Hollow cylinders on the upper face may be fitted to serve as cores for the drive coils of crosspoint switches.
