<p>The liq. is for treatment of slaughtered animals and esp. poultry before plucking. Preferred polyalkoxylated prods. are fatty alcohol-polyethoxy-polypropoxyl glycol ethers having a mol. wt. of 500-750. A small amt. of an antimicrobial agent, pref. dodecylglycine hydrochloride, can be opt. added. The compsn. facilitates feather plucking. It is nontoxic and noncorrosive. The feathers are cleaned. There is no dirt deposition in scalding tanks. The dodecylglycine hydrochloride is practically nontoxic; it suppresses unpleasant odours. It exerts preserving effect on the poultry.</p> |
