Modular boxes for encapsulated LV switchgear - uses special inserts allowing small units to be attached to large units

A system ofr encapsulating low voltage switching equipment in accordance with DIN4004 50 uses modular frames and covers to form boxes. Several boxes of the same or different sizes can be mounted side-by side to form a switching section. Each box (1) consists of a frame, and an insert (11) can be inserted between lateral bars of a large box, so that more than one smaller frame (30) can be attached to that end. This forms e.g. two openings (19, 19a) matching the openings of two small units, and matching seals (25, 26) can be fitted between the abutting faces.
