<p>Thread knot tier comprises two tie heads of which the two shafts are driven by a toothed belt which is connected to a drive mechanism for the device via a coupling device. The latter is pref. releasably coupled to the belt, and may be mounted on a support allowing it to slide in the direction of the belt or be locked in position, and allowing simultaneous uniform adjustment of the two tie heads. Pref. the coupling device comprises a slot for insertion of a loop formed by a section of the belt, and within the slot two teeth which point towards each other and which engage in a tooth gap of the loop: the internal distance between the heads of the two teeth is approx. equal to twice the thickness of the toothed belt at the site of a tooth gap.</p> |
