The control is for use with a drive which can be overloaded, particularly a rake-type cleaner or other lifting mechanisms in water purification stations, having a measuring device switching the drive off on overload. On this occurring the lifting device (6) is driven at reduced speed or stopped, thus maintaining a driving torque greater than the overload torque. A timer delays the switching off of the drive after the occurrence of the overload. It can be switched on again (7) after a further time delay, and in between the mechanism can be arranged to make a small movement in the reverse direction. |
