The pre-fabricated panels are made in such a way that they can be assembled into boxes, crates or containers by unskilled personnel, without using special tools. The panels are also light and cheap to produce. They consist of two sheets of facing material (4, 6) separated by parallel beams (42a, 42b), which are so spaced that the end of a beam on one panel 'plugs in' to the space between a pair of beams on the adjacent panel. Positive lateral location is thus provided between adjacent panels which may be in the same plane or at right angles to each other. |
