The end piece of the wire on a fully wound spool (1) is guided by covers when the wire is moved to and attached to an empty spool (1') and separated. The covers for guiding the end piece of the wire consists of a cylindrical main cover and a cylindrical auxiliary cover which are moved towards each other along circumferential surface of the fully round spool and relatively to the wire guided to the fully wound spool. The guide sides of the main and the auxiliary cover from an overlapping section and the end piece of wire is guided between the main and the auxiliary cover through an intermediate space in which it is brought by an action of a centrifugal force resulting from rotation of the fully wound spool. |
