The central device is for lap dissolve systems in cine cameras having a reversible electric motor which can be coupled to the film spool through the control unit in either sense of rotation, and has a gear wheel (21A) with a segment (21B) without any teeth cut into it. A pawl (25) is provided which is hand operated and which engages in the gear wheel teeth (21A) to rotate the control device by an angle (Beta1). The control (21) has twin sectors (21C, 21D) to operate the shutter mechanism and devices (56, 57, 61) to reverse the drive motor (51) direction.
