<p>The envelope has a conventional sealing flap and a perforated tear strip for opening the envelope. The strip is parallel to and at a short distance from one side edge, and is 0.5 cm wide. The perforations may be round, rectangular, inclined, V-shaped or of some other design chosen to suit the particular thickness and type of paper used for making the envelope. Use of the tear strip ensures that the envelope is readily and surely opened without mutilating either the envelope or its contents.</p> |
