<p>Handling system for objects packed in shrunken foil consists of slots stamped in convenient positions in the wrapping foil before it is shrunk. Core pieces are inserted in the slots. With the cores in position the foil is shrunk round the objects. During the shrinking operation, the foil accumulates at the slots and welds together to form a reinforced edge round the core. When the cores are removed the slots, which have the width of a hand form hand grips with reinforced edges for carrying the product.</p> |
