Sporadic fault ascertaining procedure for telephone networks - using evaluator containing comparator and counters determining frequency of registered faults during observation period

The sporadic fault ascertaining procedure is applicable to telecommunication systems esp. telephone networks. Every interference in the connecting process is recorded in a fault registering installation. The faulty appts. concerned is indicated as well as its switching condition at the time the fault appears. These recordings are sorted in a computer and compared with the fault data of a comparator memory. The recordings of the fault registering installation (P) are fed to an evaluator (A) constructed as a computer at stipulated intervals. The evaluator (A) is coupled to a memory (S) storing the installation data. The evaluator (A) contains a comparator for appraisal of the register recordings against the previously known ault possibilities and limits stored in the memory (S).
