1395653 Pick-finding mechanisms STAUBLI Ltd 4 Sept 1972 [14 Sept 1971] 41007/72 Heading D1E [Also in Division F2] One element 30 of a clutch 16 for disengaging the loom drive to the shedding motion is oscillated about its axis as the clutch is disengaged, to facilitate disengagement, by a motor 26 which also drives the shedding motion in reverse once the clutch has been disengaged, for pick finding. The shedding motion is a dobby, and the element 30 on the dobby side of the clutch has an integral pinion 18 driven by motor 26 and slides axially on shaft 6 but is constrained for rotation therewith by a key 36. A limit switch 29 changes the oscillating motion to continuous rotation once the clutch is disengaged. In a modification, element 30 is oscillated and subsequently driven by a pneumatic or hydraulic motor. |
