Polysegment copolymers with thermo elastomeric properties are produced by treating a di-block copolymer of idealised from Sx-By (where S are styrene-derived structural units, B are conjugated diene-derived structural units and x and y are integers) in an inert organic solvent with a radica-forming cpd. Products can be used for mfr. of shoe-soles, hose-pipes and technical rubber articles. Products have good workability and wide distribution of crosslinking; are soluble in hydrocarbons, CHCl3 and Et acetate. |
