The movable surface is perforate and deposition is aided by a suction zone 20. A blowing duct 30 aids removal of the bolt from the surface. Rolls of tissue paper 28, 34 supply surface layers for the diaper material. The blocking elements 38 have a diameter of � inch to 1 inch and are mutually spaced apart by a distance at least equal to the diameter.
