<p>Novel title cpds have formula (I): (where n=0 or 1; X=opt. substd. amino, R H or an org. radical A= CO or C(OR1)2; R1=1-3C alkyl, B=H, -CR2=C(CH3)2, -CR3=PR4R5R6, -CHR3-R+R4R5R6 or -CHR3-P(O)R7R8; R2, R3=esterified carboxylic acid residue; R4, R5, R6=lower alkyl, aryl or aralkyl (all opt. substd) and R7, R8=alkoxy or aralkoxy (opt. substd) where A=CO, they may be prepd by reacting a cpd of formula (II) with a pri or sec amine: and opt. hydrolysing the enamine intermediate (i.e. if it does not self hydrolyse) or by reacting (II) with H2O in presence of a source of Hg2+ ions are catalyst, this source coming e.g. from polystyrene impregnated with Hg and aq. CH3COOH. Where A is a ketal, (II) is reacted with a 1-3C alkanol in presence of an Hg2+ source.</p> |
