<p>1476592 Childs vehicle safety seat ETABS BERTRAND FAURE 12 Nov 1975 [18 Nov 1974] 46804/75 Heading A4 J A child's vehicle safety seat comprises a retaining member 2 releasably secured to a seat body 1 by pairs of coupling elements 11, 12, the elements being disposed on the ends of energy absorbing rods 27, 28 fitted within channels 25, 26 in the body and retaining member. Preferably each pair of elements comprises a downwardly tapered foot 12 engaging a correspondingly tapered shoe 11. Each element is provided with an aperture which co-operates with an enlarged head 29 on the respective rod. The elements may be locked together by the engagement of a tab (40), Figs. 8-10 (not shown) on one limb of an L-shaped arm secured to the side walls of the shoe with one of a pair of slots (41) in the foot. The other arm of the lever forms a release handle.</p> |
