<p>Spout for tap or mixer comprises a tubular portion fixed in a mounting sleeve which is threaded at its end opposite the spout. The tubular portion is rotatable on its own axis within the sleeve, but is prevented from axial displacement by an O-ring which surrounds the tubular portion and which is inserted in the sleeve towards its end opposite the threaded end, engaging in an annular groove in the tubular portion. Pref. the O-ring is split in a radial plane to allow it to be fitted in position easily, and is made of material wth a low coefft. of friction, pref. "Delrin" (RTM). The annular groove in the tubular portion may be formed by a peripheral constriction, and the sleeve may comprise on its inner surface a groove for maintaining a seal in contact with the tubular portion.</p> |
