The motor vehicle air conditioning system has a heater (1), to which hot water (2) is delivered, typically from the engine cooling system. the heater contains refrigerating liquid, to which the water transmits its heat, causing it to boil at a high pressure, producing vapour. The vapour is transported in succession to an ejector (4) and a nozzle (5, 12), generating a vacuum in a pipe leading from an evaporator in the chamber to be cooled. The vacuum causes the coolant at low temp. in the evaporator to boil, extracting heat from the chamber, and a condenser receives the mixture of the two gases, liquifying them so as to yield to atmosphere the enthalpy extracted from the chamber.
|
