The gear change system is intended for use under load and uses gear change valves, controlling pressure actuated friction clutches. One set of friction clutches has so short filling period as to provide suffieicnt gear change transistors, without temporary moment intersection. The air-venting lines of the clutches, which are tripped during gear change in force transmission from a clutch with relatively long filling period, are blocked during this gear change by an air-venting stop valve, but released for other gear changes. The gear change valves have associated electric delay switches for delayed connection of a new gear change, these switches having a specified function for forward and reverse gear change switching. |
