<p>The compsn. comprises 100 pts. of a mixt. of 30-60 wt.% red phosphorus and 40-70 wt.% abrasive medium, and 10 pts. of an adhesive. The mixt. may be kneaded at a press. of approx. 4 kp/cc. and shaped into a solid body. The compsn. can be used on a matchbox to the inner-most layer of the material, by continuously altering those parts against which the match is rubbed. The match is lit without fail by performing a light striking movement. The compsn. justifies the higher prodn. costs of a high-quality matchbox, as it can be used for an extremely long time, and allows use of the matchboxy for advertising purposes. The matchbox can be refilled from time to time without the compsn. wearing out.</p> |
