<p>The yarn feeder is of the type having a driving cylinder against which a pressing roller is held firmly in contact; the axes of the two being parallel. Above the pressing roller and axially parallel to it also, there is an idler pulley, and an endless belt runs on the two. The axes of all three rotating details are in the same plane, and a belt tensioning device is also provided. The feeder is esp. applicable to false twist texturing machines and stretch texturing machines, being simpler in design and threading up, etc. than conventional guides. It takes up very little room and is cheap to produce. In the event of yarn breakage there is no twisting around the roller. The idler pulley is driven by the belt and not by the yarn and the full length of the coils of yarn is driven by the belt.</p> |
