<p>A machine for stretching and texturing continuous threads of synthetic textile material, has a support frame for a number of work stations for the processing of the yarn, arranged side by side lengthways. In each frame there is a set of winding on spindles for the spools of finished yarn and the creel with the spindles for the supply packages is assembled either in the frame immediately above the winding on spindles, or on a working floor above the machine. Guides take the threads along a path with the contour of an inverted 'U', the threads running upwards to the top of the machine, horizontally across to the centre and vertically downwards through sets of feeder and draft rollers, as well as heaters to the false twister spindle. From below the false twister they are turned upwards, through feeders, a heater and guides to the top of the machine again, and cross over to be drawn down to the traverse winders. The whole length of the run of each thread can be supervised at once; there being a passage between the processing assembly and the spindles for the supply spools and the winding on stations. There are no elevated walkways so that there is room for a trolley running on rails with a platform which can be raised to give access to all parts of the machine. This has a lateral guide rail and leaves the passage free for a servicing trolley.</p> |
