Animal sperms which are used for artificial insemination are stored in individual tubular containers. The tubes which contain sperms from the same batch are then placed horizontally inside a vertical duct. A division plate with a self locating fit inside the duct is then placed between each batch of tubular sperm containers. A slot which extends over the whole length of the duct, gives access to the tubes of any batch without disturbing a neighbouring set of sperm tubes of a different batch. The duct is made of stainless steel and can be used for submerging the sperm tubes in the freezing fluid.
