<p>1470153 Suction-irrigator STEWART RESEARCH Inc 20 June 1975 [25 June 1974] 26273/75 Heading A5R A suction-irrigator comprises a liquid delivering tube 12 connected by a resilient connector 32 to a liquid supply tube 24, and a vacuum applying tube 14 connected by connector 32 to a vacuum supply tube 26, the delivery and applying tubes 12 and 14 having adjacent work ends 16 and 24 respectively, there being a resilient valve 36 in the liquid supply path of the connector operable by external finger pressure which opens a slit 46 in the valve, and there being vacuum relief holes 41 in the vacuum supply path of the connector so that the vacuum at the work end may be controlled externally by a finger. External lugs (50) are provided on the connector which are engageable by fingers, Fig. 3 (not shown). The suction-irrigator may be made from injection moulded plastics, e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, or from metal, with the connector being formed from moulded rubber or silicone material.</p> |
