Positional control for electron microscope objects - uses adjustable demand circuit with fed back position signal, derived from integrator supplied by pulse generator

An arrangement for moving an object, in partic. for use with electron microscopes, has a control device for switching a motor which moves the object and a device (15) coupled to the object to produce a position feedback signal to the controller. The controller contains an adjustable desired position circuit (18) and, between it and the motor (13), a control amplifier (19) to which the position signal (11) is fed back. The desired position signal (1) is derived from an integrator (18) supplied by a pulse generator (20)), and the desired position signal may be reset to the actual position signal via a switch (25). The arrangement is relatively simple and requires no control processor or computer.
