The discharge device in cell-type separators is used mainly in corn milling and in the foodstuffs industry. The object is to design the device such that the material is conveyed uniformly through the cylinder, without blockage and with simultaneous swirling of the agglomerated material and that equally good separating conditions exist at all points in the cylinder. This is achieved in that, in the cell cylinder (1) below the discharge screw (3), a rotating throwshovel conveying screw (4) is disposed over the entire cylinder length which is composed of an optional sequence of throwshovels (6) and conveying screws (5). <IMAGE>
