The device is for interconnection of partition wall panels using connecting elements engaging on the vertical sides of the panels into the interfacing edges or frames of these, the frames being U-shaped in section. Horizontal plug slots are evenly spaced in the frame vertical battens. These extend through the stem and the two U-arms facing the stem, and each has a retaining slot or cutout diverging downwards in the area of the two edges between the stem and an arm. The parts of the stem remaining between the retaining slots or cutouts engages in a matching slot on the connector. The connectors may have a cutout between the slots, for the passage of ducts or cables.
