Secondary coil sections are connected in series through slots between coil former chambers. The connecting slot (17) extends over a certain length of the periphery of coil former (16) ribs (18) separating the chambers (15), so that connecting wire is covered by the ribs' overlapping parts. The ribs may have troughs along their edges opening into the inlet opening of the connecting slot. The chamber width may decrease towards the chamber bottom.
