<p>A method of compensating factors affecting sensitivity and accuracy of electromagnetic balances, in partic. precision and fire balances, which are used with analogue to-digital convertors, display devices, and reference wts., is presented. The method is effective against the influences of the local earth's magnetic field, ambient temp. and humidity, component and power supply variations, and geometric, electrical, and electromagnetic characteristics. The actual wt. of a reference wt. representing the largest wt. to be determined is measured and recorded under the prevailing operating conditions. A factor representing the quotient of the actual and desired reference wts. -is produced and used to correct the subsequent wt. measurements.</p> |
