A centrifugal drum used in a liquid/solid separation process, with a stack of conical plates located around a vertical inlet tube through the top, has spacers between them, and an intermediate plate (12) between the normal plate sections (5). The intermediate plate (12) is of large internal diameter and divides the space (11) between the plate sections into an upper (11b) and a lower (11a) section, having riser channels linking them which are sealed in the upper sectin in the rotational axis direction. |
