The bobbin winding machine has winding heads with a rotary drive and bobbin core tube inserts. The machine has thread guides to supply the thread to the winding heads, and is also equipped to automatically apply (21) labels taken individually from a storage magazine to the bobbin. The bobbin core tube storage and supply installation is coordinated with the winding heads (2) and consist of a pick-up table (17), movable between a receiving position below a stacking magazine and a position in which it is mounted on the winding head. There is a pick-up element (4) which lifts one tube (1) from the table and supplies it to the winding head (2).
