Ducts, esp. for cooling purposes, are produced when potting components and resin-impregnating and encapsulating coils (with core and windings enveloped in resin) by fixing suitable duct-shaped components in appropriate positions in the coil, casting the resin with them in position, and after curing, releasing them from the resin and withdrawing them. Direct cooling is achieved by the ducts without problems of seals and meshes. The process saves times.
