The anchoring arrangement is for a door lock plate with handle. The handle is mounted on a rectangular mandrel held in the door lock, and can be mounted without using tools. Any relative angular position of the door lock cover plate and handle is possible. The door lock cover plates (2) are made from flexible plastics. The contact surfaces (3) of these plates have snap fit bevelled edges which match the recess in the door handle shaft. The contact faces (3) of the plate (2) are arranged like a hub (11) on the plate underside. The handle has a sloping-sided groove (4) in its shaft near the inner end.
