摘要 <p>The measurement of rate of revolution is carried out by using an integrating gyroscope. A constant external turning movement is applied to the gyroscope by means of a torque coil mounted on it until a defined angle is achieved. The current to the coil is then reversed to produce an equal and opposite torque until the same deflection is achieved in the opposite sense. The rotation speed is determined in a processor from measurement of the deflection angle and the times to the first and second torque switching as well as a time-averaged value for the first switching time.</p>
