Current control for DC traction - with electronic logic switching circuit for smooth torque value compared to manually set reference

The DC traction is controlled by a servo motor which adjusts the motor current in response to a reference value set by the driver's controls. An electronic control provides a smooth torque control. The electronic control generates correction signals for the servo motor to change the motor current in such a way that sudden torque changes are accommodated. The starting current can be greater than the reduction of current for retardation so that a smooth control is possible. The electronic control provides a more precise adjustment of the motor current.
