<p>The cutting bit holder (1) is wedge shaped with a sloping surface (7) and vertical surface (8) provided with parallel serrations (5) which mesh with corresponding serrations on the tool carrier body (6). The bit holder is held in place by a clamp (9) with turned down edges (11, 12) and bolted down by an inclined bolt (4) which supports the tendency of the bit holder to slip back towards the tool holder body. The horizontal surface of the bit holder carriers the bit (2) which is seated in a recess created during the casting of the holder. The shape and position is individually designed and carried out to suit the type of use of the tool.</p> |
