Spark erosion machining programme control - with programme store for start and end of angular electrode setting for oblique cuts

A programme controller for electro-erosion spark machining to cut workpieces of complicated contours from conductor or semiconductor materials is based on the use of not profiled wire electrodes. The programming carrier receives input storage instructions for the starting and finishing point of any section, requiring an oblique cut, and for the angle to the co-ordinate axis. The oblique sections are then produced automatically. This saves the storage of a multiplicity of instructions on the programme carrier. No complex interpolators are required to cut certain sections at an angle automatically.
