1533002 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines HERMANN BERSTORFF MASCHINENBAU GmbH 29 June 1976 [5 July 1975 10 Dec 1975] 27067/76 Heading F1F In an I.C. engine of the sliding-vane type a rotor 19 with vanes 29... 33 revolves in a planetary manner within a fixed casing 11, 12, 13, its motion being controlled by a pair of internally-meshing gears 21, 23, and the pitch diameter of the ring gear 23 being greater than that of the pinion 21 by the ratio of the pitch diameter of the pinion to the number of vanes. The rotor rotates on an eccentric 18 secured to a power-output shaft 15. Troughs 36 may be formed in the rotor. Spark plugs 41 may be disposed circumferentially of the casing at intervals of 720 degrees divided by the number of vanes, induction and exhaust "points" (not shown) being disposed in the casing's periphery accordingly. The vanes may have blocks 34 engaging with an annular slideway 35 in one or each of the casing end-walls 12, 13. The engine may be adapted for use as a motor or a pump, Figs. 4-7 (not shown). |
