PURPOSE:To increase the precision of measurement, by dividing the part coupling to a sample into a pressure element that fixes the strain measuring element and the pressed surface and a measuring element that fixes a needle and then connecting both elements together via a spring. CONSTITUTION:The measurement is performed by moving slowly the lever 9 down to the arrow B. When the move-down action of lever 9 starts, the force that pushes up not only the interlocking tool 12 but interlocking tool 11 is released. As a result, the force pressing up the measuring element 13 and pressure element 3 which are connected to each other is also released. Then the element 3 moves slowly down by the gravity of the weight 5, and at the same time the element 13 also moves slowly down by the force of spring 15 and in the same rate as element 3. In other words, the lever 9 functions as a stopper to give a control to the move-down action at that moment. |
