PURPOSE:To extract only movement information of a luminance signal by providing a discrimination circuit outputting either an absolute value of a high horizontal frequency component in an output signal of a time space filter or an absolute value of difference between two frames. CONSTITUTION:The circuit is provided with a time space filter 12, which receives an input signal, a 1 frame delay signal and a 2-frame delay signal and takes an area in conjugation with a color signal component as a pass band when the NTSC system composite television signal is expressed in a vertical direction frequency and a time direction frequency. Then the discrimination circuit 15 obtains either an absolute value of a high horizontal frequency component of an output signal of the time space filter 12 or an absolute value of a high horizontal frequency component of a luminance signal and a difference between two frames of the color signal component as a movement detection data of a high horizontal frequency of the luminance signal. Thus, the movement information of only the luminance signal component is obtained in an excellent way. |
