A non-crystallizing sealing glass composition comprising a mixture of glass material and a filler material, which does not contain alkaline oxides or more than 1.5% by weight of silica, the glass material consisting essentially of 75.49% to 84% by weight of PbO, 11.2% to 14.25% by weight of B2O3, up to 1.0% by weight of SnO2, up to 1.5% by weight of GeO2, and at least 2% by weight of an additional component, which comprises up to 3.1% by weight of ZnO and/or up to 9.4% by weight of Bi2O3, and the filler material comprises 13.5% to 17% by weight of the mixture of beta -eucryptite, having a maximum particle size less than 100 mu m.
