PURPOSE:To provide a treating method, in which treatment with chemicals for a shortened period is accomplished prior to the ball producing process by fires so that the balls, which have a radius of curvature smaller than the sectional radius of the optical fibers prior to the treatment, may be formed at the leading ends of the optical fibers. |
