<p>1433548 Mould holder arm EMHART CORP 26 Oct 1973 [15 Dec 1972] 49889/73 Heading C1M At least one mould holder arm of a mould holder assembly for carrying a plurality of mould halves is provided with a pressure transmitting device corresponding to each mould half, such device being responsive to the pressure in a fluid filled passage located within the arm and communicating with each pressure transmitting device, so that when the mould halves are in engagement with the mould halves on the other arm all the pressure transmitting devices exert substantially the same pressure on their associated mould halves. As shown (Fig. 1) the pressure transmitting device may take the form of bellows 50 communicating with a fluid-filled passage 52. Alternatively (Fig. 2) pistons 60 sliding within chambers 62 constitute the pressure transmitting device. The arm may comprise upper and lower sections connected by a vertical strut, each section being provided with a pressure transmitting device.</p> |
