<p>Mobile shot-blasting tool, typically used to clean ships hulls in dry dock etc. upwardly projects granules onto a surface (12) with such force that granules rebound to be collected and gravity fed to the tool base for recycling. The tool includes a collection passage (38) feeding rebounding granules to the tool's main gravity return feed chamber (32). The granules are subject to a continuous cleansing air flow (40) during their transit through the passage (38), whereby dust and debris is removed through an upper outlet (48). Granules are projected by a motorised air-less centrifugal rotor (16). The rotor is belt driven froman adjacent motor.</p> |
