<p>A shot gun or similarly operating firearm has a striker pin (2) which has a given play (J) in the direction of its travel, to prevent jamming and damage to the rounded tip (23) of the pin where the cartridge (C) is ejected from the breech (4). The pin is carried by a support arm (11) wanted between flanges on a spring loaded rod (1) underneath which is released when the trigger is pulled. The pin has a flange (22) one side of the arm and a nut (3) on the other side, the space between them giving the required play which allows the rounded tip of the striker pin to clear the rear face of the cartridge as it is swung clear for ejection.</p> |
