发明名称 Sheet metal joint between concrete slabs - is incorporated during casting, and acts as expansion joint
摘要
A joint case into concret slabs, eliminating the need for stopping up the holes usually left between adjacent slabs consists of a metal section (A) made from strips of galvanized sheet metal bent into a pointed shaped which gives longitudinally rigidity. The ends of the strip are curved round to house an extension piece. Two vertical iron pieces (D) are positioned on either side, face to face and sloping. The pointed part of the metal section (A) locks onto the top of one piece and this section is blocked in this position between the two iron pieces. The joint is put in position prior to the concrete being poured. It then acts as a level for pouring and is permanently cast into the concrete. The top part of the joint prevents the edges of the slab from crumbling while the pointed piece reduces leakage and holds the slabs horizontally. The joint also allows the concrete to expand.
