The length of folding strip material comprises a thin sheet of plastic backed by a thin veneer of wood so as to form the support of a reinforcing plate of chipboard or similar material in sections. It is used to form a casing of tubular rectangular section with rounded corners by folding, being particularly for radio and television sets. The opposite faces (32, 33) of two consecutive sections (12) butt directly or indirectly against each other on folding, forming a rounded corner under tension and centring the supporting portion (10) connecting them together.
