<p>The roadside electric cable duct has a prefabricated concrete base (1). The base has a channel (2) with a short side wall (3) which is level with the road surface (C), and a tall side wall (6) which is just below the level of the pavement surface (T). A sheet metal conduit has a channel (9) occupying the majority of the concrete channel but has a raised and bent over wall (10) which acts as the kerbstone. The metal channel is covered by an inverted rectangular channel (14) resting on shoulders (12, 13) in the side walls of the main channel. The inner side wall of the main channel extends above the level of the prefabricated concrete wall and provides a shutter for the concrete pavement.</p> |
