The unit has an inlet conduit which leads into an outlet with two concentric chambers. Direct outflow is through the central tube and shower outflow is through the annular space between the tubes. The valve is displaced to effect diversion of the flow through one or other of these outlets. The valve is constrained elastically to return to the direct outlet position. A push button may be used to move the valve into the 'shower' position. In this instance a plane valve section blocks the direct outlet. The inlet conduit and the outlet chamber are disposed at approx. 90 deg. to one another.
