Superconducting memory with optional modes - can be operated as free access or associative memory with cell matrix with Josephson junction

A first coordination device has a first type of lead (S) which splits the bit column of the matrix in each cell (1) into the two branches of the loop of the line. One branch contains a Josephson junction as writing contact connects all lines of the first type. There are means at the boundary of the matrix for connection to drivers (5) for bit-writing pulses or data pulses as the index argument for associative interrogation or to reading circuits (6) for read-out of dat. A second coordination device has a line (W) coupled to the loop of each cell of the associated word line which can be connected to drivers (7) for word reading or reading pulses in free access or to provide reading pulses after successful association search procedures.
